The red or purple marks, called \"sha,\" that can appear are seen as signs of stuck energy or \"stagnation\" being released, and they usually fade within 2-3 days.

The temporary marks are called "Sha." Brighter red marks indicate the release of more recent stagnation, while darker or purple marks point to older buildup. This is a completely natural response that signals the body to activate its lymphatic and circulatory systems. The marks typically fade within a few days.

Gua Sha should never be painful. Work deeply but always with intention, and never force it or cause pain. You may feel pressure and a warming sensation as circulation increases, which is normal. If something hurts, ease up on the pressure.

We recommend waiting until the Sha marks from your previous session have fully faded before scraping the same area again. This gives your body the time it needs to process and restore. Gua Sha is not recommended in all situations as it activates circulation. Always use on healthy skin and avoid areas that feel open, irritated, or sensitive. If you are pregnant or under medical care, please consult a professional before use.

After each session, cleanse your Horn with mild soap and warm water. Dry it gently and store it in the pouch provided. With good care, your Horn will stay in perfect condition, ready to support your next ritual.
